Our auctions feature renowned brands such as Lionel, American Flyer, Marx, Ives, Dorfan, Tonka, Hot Wheels, Aurora, Revell, as well as other scales and toy trains. About Gregory and Gregory Hake Auctions

I was born in 1962 and received my first train set in 1966, the renowned Lionel set No. 2270 Jersey Central Passenger Set, which ignited my lifelong fascination with trains. Following years of dedicated study and collecting various Lionel pieces, I embarked on a new venture in 1984, offering pristine Lionel trains and their original boxes. Five years later, in 1989, I established Hake’s Treasure Chest, gaining a reputation as the world’s foremost authority on Lionel empty boxes and Original MINT in Box trains. My passion for collecting expanded beyond Lionel trains to encompass other valuable toys such as Hot Wheels, Tonka, Smith Miller, Arcade, GI Joe, as well as vintage collectibles and baseball cards.

I’ve generously shared my professional knowledge and expertise by making significant contributions to publications like The Lion Roars, Classic Toy Trains, Greenberg’s Guide to Lionel Trains, TM Books and Magazine, and collaborating with renowned auction houses across the nation. Additionally, for a span of five years, I served as the primary authenticator of Lionel Postwar trains for an auction house based in Indiana.
